I quite liked this mascara. It really gave volume to my eyelashes and something about the brush just made it glide on. Made my eyes look opened up and awake and didn't smude all day. Can sometimes look a tiny bit clumpy but apart from that a nice mascara!
I am a YSL Faux Cils girl and Dior Show for years. I came upon the Hypnose after hearing a lot of rants about this mascara.
Wow! glad that I bought it, my lashes are long, thick, dark and sexy!!
This wears so much better than Dior Show which has a tendency to end up a little smudged under my eye brows where my lashes touch. I can't say enough about it this is my new favorite!!
I absolutely LOVE this mascara. I'm totally and completely head over heels for it. It is by far the best mascara I have ever used. I get compliments on my lashes when I use it; it is the perfect mascara for anyone looking for a thickening and lengthening mascara. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for those two things when shopping for a mascara.
I'd also like to note that I haven't had any of the flaky or drying up in the tube problems that a few others have had. I've been using the same tube for well over a year, although I don't use it every single day.
Pros:Thickens and lengthens. Doesn't clump if you apply it right. Seems to have a long usage life. Cons:For me: NONE
This mascara for me is the best i have ever tried out of the lancome range of mascaras. though i only like the non waterproof version. i tried the waterproof and i hated it i found it totally different it clumped and made my eyelashes look sparse. The non waterproof formula lasted just fine with no smudging, creating perfect eyelashes.
Pros:everything Cons:i would avoid the waterproof version
This is the best mascara have I ever used! It actually does what it says..however to achieve that hypnotic look..you have to use an eyelash curler. I always get compliments about my eylashes but this is what I do..I curl my eyelashes and then apply one coat of Hypnose Mascara then I wait for it to dry and then I use my eyelash curler again and apply a second coat..I know it sounds kinda time consuming but I promise you it's well worth it. THe mascara is expensive but you can get it on ebay for $15.
Hypnose is a wet, clumpy, flaky nightmare. I received a sample of this in a gift set, and even though I haven't ever liked anything of Lancome's besides one old mascara that I used ages ago (Definicils, I believe) and their Juicy Tubes, I thought I'd give it a try.
At first it seemed as though it might be a good choice for dark, dramatic lashes (which I usually don't go for every day, but will do once in a while), but then it just applied unevenly, clumped, and took forever to try. I don't have infinite patience for mascara; if I have to apply it carefully and then comb through it twice just to get it to look good, into the trash it goes. However, if you have the time and inclination to mess with your lashes a lot, this one might be okay.

I've purchased this mascara twice, and I'm always am torn whether it's worth it. Just like the other reviews said, it does dry up really quick, but the 2-4 weeks that it last, it's the best looking mascara I think I've ever used. I've had people ask if I was wearing false eyelashes when wearing this mascara because they would be totally full, thick, defined, and not clumpy. This mascara also doesn't budge all day. I would recommend it for a special occasion, but not for everyday wear because of the price.
Pros:Thickens, defines, lengthens, goes on great, stays all day Cons:price and it dries up in about a month

Craptastic. The first day's application is great, then the performance takes a record-breaking nosedive into disaster over a few week's span. From full, thick lashes to clumpy, short, spidery stumps. I didn't even know a mascara could deliver clumpy *and* spidery in one fell swoop. Not even a full 30 days had passed before I threw this turd in the trash. Lancome, please fire your R&D management team and replace them with chimpanzees. You'll save lots of money and probably produce better products than the garbage I just bought.

I do love some of Lancome's mascaras so when Hypnose hit the stores I had to have it.
I tried it in the store and WOW I never had such gorgeous (sp?) lashes.
I bought a tube at $22 and thought I found my HG mascara. Within one week it had already started to dry up. (I do keep my mascara closed tightly and in the box).
I took it back and they gave me another tube. Figured OK maybe just got a bad one.
My 2nd (replacement) tube gave me great lashes for 2 weeks and has now started to dry up. Two weeks is a little too soon for a mascara to be drying out and not performing as it should be for $22 a tube.
So the search goes on for my HG mascara.
Might have to try a drugstore brand.
Any suggestions out there??
