Review on: Clinique - Full Potential Lip Plumping Lip Gloss

::: The Product :::
Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine is supposed to be a "Triple-action plumping gloss instantly and gently creates a fuller, lusher look. The plush effect lingers up to 6 hours. With continued use, peptides prompt skin’s natural collagen production to foster a smoother, more defined look. Builds moisture cushion, too. With all the comforts of Clinique." Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine is available in 18 regular line colors, and two limited edition colors. The colors are broken down into Pinks, Tawnies, Nudes and Violets.

Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine comes in a clear tube which has a silver stripe along the top of the tube. The lid is silver with an attached standard "sponge-tip" applicator. The front of the tube has the company name, as well as product name in silver (the product name is also in French on the front). The bottom states the color name, company information, and volume/weight information. There is 0.16 fl. oz (4.7 mL) of product in the tube, which measures about 3.5" in length by approximately 0.75" in width.

::: The Ingredients :::
Unfortunately, I don't have the box to list the ingredients, nor can I find them online. I did notice there is a review which contains an ingredient list, but I'm not too positive as to how the ingredients may change according to the colors.

::: My Experience :::
I actually received my Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump & Shine through a swap on Makeup Alley. (For those who don't know, swapping is getting rid of new or used products for items you want... You know, swapping!) I received mine in Beach Bunny, which is a nice sheer pinkish-beige that isn't overly shimmery. I'm a sucker for anything that's pinkish-coral or peachy, so this was a perfect color for me. I use this with my Rimmel Vinyl Jelly Lip Gloss in Tasty (unfortunately, a discontinued lip liner especially made for lipglosses).

I waited for the "tingly" factor that I've always heard lip plumpers seem to have to them... Nothing! Didn't bother me at all, it actually made me happy. I have naturally full lips, so I don't need them looking like Lisa Rinna's LOL! The first thing I did notice is that my lips instantly felt moisturized. The lipgloss isn't too tacky, and a little goes a long way. It lasted, though faded, through my morning yogurt, and even lasted through my morning tea, which I generally have about an hour after the yogurt. So, even while the color may fade, the overall feel of the lipgloss is still there. Something else I noticed was that I didn't have to reapply it all day like I do with M.A.C. Lipglasses or any other lipgloss I use. Not to mention, even when it did finally wear off, my lips didn't feel or look dry like they tend to, and they did feel smoother.

So, I can say while this doesn't seem to plump MY lips, it does hold up to its claim of smoother lips and provides a moisture cushion. I definitely plan on buying more of these (Extra Apricot and and Peach Plump are calling my name... I think Limited Toffee Boost and Camisole are too LOL)!

::: Purchasing & Pricing Information :::
Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump & Shine retails for $17.50 at Clinique counters in various department stores. You can also purchase Clinique via their website (clinique.com), Sephora brick & mortar stores or website, as well as there are select items available on QVC's website! (Notice how almost all major cosmetics companies are turning to QVC?)

::: Recommendation :::
Yes, I'd recommend these lipglosses, but not based on any plumping action. I know everyone swears M.A.C. Lipglasses are the best, but to me this gives them a run for their money. While they didn't plump my lips, they did leave them nice and soft, as well as smoother than normal after using lip products like lipsticks and/or lipglosses. I give it to you like this: I don't normally keep a specific lipgloss in my makeup bag, but this one is definitely in there for me to use daily, no matter what I initially put on!

Pros: Hydrates lips; nice shine; not too tacky
Cons: Doesn't plump
Review on: Clinique - Superbalm in Mango
This is probably one of my favourite lipglosses. It's a sheer peachy colour that looks good with lots of nude lipsticks. It's really shiny without any shimmer and lasts a long time even without anything underneath. It's pretty moisturizing and comes in a squeezable tube.

Review on: Clinique - Full Potential Lip Plumping Lip Gloss
I received this in a GWP and really liked it. It's just sticky enough to give some lasting power, but not uncomfortable (like Lipglass). There's a super mild tingle, but I have full lips and don't notice a huge difference, someone with small lips may notice more plumping. My only complaint is the lack of colors, especially that they are ALL sparkley.

Review on: Clinique - Glosswear for Lips Intense Sparkle in Stellar Plum
I love to use in night looks, it's a kinda natural color with a little bit of glitter. It's amazing! =)

Pros: Good for day/night looks, glittery
Cons: Expensive
Review on: Clinique - Full Potential Lip Plumping Lip Gloss
These lipglosses are the absolute best ones, I have ever used. All the colors are wonderful, the staying power and shine is wonderful and the lip plumping is very nice not too tingly and not excessive plumping. These lipglosses will be the only ones I use now! They apply with a wand and it is in a short container which is a nice change too.

Pros: great colors, shine, staying power.
Cons: a little pricey but worth it!
Review on: Clinique - gloss wear in lemon sparkel
*its can be worn alone or over lipstick
*its lift up the lips
*addes extra sparkles&long lasting shine

Review on: Clinique - Impossibly Glossy
Talk about a sleeper hit. I did not expect to like these glosses because Clinque hadn't released anything to my taste in a very long time. I was wandering towards the MAC counter at Hechts and saw these shimmering jewels. I couldn't help myself, I was totally drawn in by them.

The glosses are soo shiney and shimmery that its almost unreal. The formula is slick but not sticky. They feel very comfortable on my lips. I hope Clinique makes more colors.

Review on: Clinique - Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy - Peach Goddess
Color: The most perfect shade of peach in the world

Finish: Sheer but with Shimmer

Review: The moment I saw this gloss on my friend Hillary, I had to have it. It was the most perfect medium peach I had ever seen in my life. It makes your lips look delectable. I really can't rave about this enough.

And as a self proclaimed shimmer whore, I like the formula. The gel-like gloss doesn't feel as goopey and sticky as the Lip Jelles from MAC. And these shimmer like nothing I've ever seen before.

A+ Gloss!

Review on: Clinique - Glosswear For Lips Intense Sparkle in 07 Pink Heav
This was another gift with purchase item.  Actually it came in a compact with a mini blusher, mini bronzer and this mini lipgloss.  The mini lipgloss is so darn cute....I can't even handle it.  The color is a nice soft neutral sheer pink.  LOTS of sparkle, shimmer and shine.  This feels nice on your lips and doesn't feel tacky or sticky.  Applicator is a spongey brush type.  Nice alone or over favorite lipstick for a different effect.

My skin:  NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.

Pros: nice soft sheer pink, shimmer and high shine
Cons:
Review on: Clinique - Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy - Peach Goddess
I love warm colors and Clinique's Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy in Peach Goddess is a beautiful warm peachy shade.  This lipgloss can be worn alone as it is nicely pigmented.  It is a creamy peach shade with tons of shimmer, pearl and gloss.  It is wonderful for a natural look with a smokey eye.  I also wear it over some of my lipsticks.  The consistency is sort of sticky but not annoyingly.  It really does not have a taste or a smell which I prefer.  The packaging is a squeeze tube applicator, very easy to use.  An HG lipgloss for me.

Pros: Shimmery, beautiful shade, long lasting, glossy
Cons: Price
Review on: Clinique - Impossibly Glossy in Cream Soda
 Cream Soda appears in the tube as a shimmery dark melon-bronze-rose shade. Thankfully there is no scent or taste. Its got great glass-like shine and the texture is smooth. Not too watery and not sticky at all. The only problem I have with this gloss is the lack of pigment. Once applied, all I see is golden shimmers. It gives a wonderful glossy look, but the lack of pigment in it keeps me from reaching for it. In the tube it looks like it has the potential to be a unique gloss, but unfortunately this gloss is nothing unique. There are far better Impossibly Glossy shades, this is not one of them and I will not repurchase.

Review on: Clinique - Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy - Camisole
I really like the Clinique Color Surge Impossibly Glossy lipglosses.  This shade is Camisole a light creamy mauvy pink.  It is a sheer lipgloss as it is not highly pigmented but it is not a clear shade, it is a creamy shade, shiny and shimmery.  The applicator is a squeeze tube, which I find is very easy to apply.  This is a perfect spring/summer shade.  This shade has a 60's retro look to it, would be great with a heavy black eyeliner.

Pros: shimmer, high shine, nice shade
Cons: Price.
Review on: Clinique - Glosswear for lips in Cosmic Pink
This lipgloss has a nice texture and looks very pretty and shiny. It adds just the right tint of pink color to the lips with an intense sparkle. The only drawback is that when the color wears off the sparkle stays so it looks kinda funny.

Review on: Clinique - Glossware for Lips in Honey Bee
When I first apply this shade, it looks almost like an orangey brown colored lipstick with a hint of shine and no glitter.  After about 2 hours, it looks more like a caramel color and appears even more shiny, which I love! I like the wand tip applicator it comes with.  Makes it real easy to apply nice and evenly.  This is a great neautral color that you could wear everyday to work or school.

Pros: Long lasting, Good consistency, Not sticky
Cons: Funky smell
Review on: Clinique - shy beige
My friend and I went to the Clinique counter and we each purchased the Clinique Glosswear for Lips in Shy Beige.  It was easy to put on with the foam tip applicator and went on very smooth and even.  For a lipgloss, it wasn't that sticky and to my surprise it lasted a long time! The shade goes on a sheer, almost nude, with a hint of shimmer.  My lips looked very moist.  This color looked pretty by itself and over lipsticks.  I would definitely purchase this product again! :-)

Pros: Nice consistency, Great shine, Long lasting
Cons: The smell is ok
Review on: Clinique - Nude Nectar

 I didn't like this gloss, the texture is very thick for a lipgloss,it's not very shiny and a few months after i bought it it completely dried!! And the smell is bad!

Pros: shade
Cons: bad smell, thick texture, high price , dried too quickly
Review on: Clinique - Glosswear for Lips in Fuschia
I'm finishing up my 2nd tube of this color.  I really like the formulation of the Glosswears, but the chalky taste leaves something to be desired.  Fuschia packs a lot of color (true to how it looks in the tube), unlike most of the Glosswears. I get compliments every time I wear it.  Comes with felt wand applicator, which is fine.  I gave packaging a 4 just because I think Clinique should overhaul their packaging (either make it sleeker or prettier).

Pros: Great color intensity; good texture
Cons: Taste isn't good, packaging not very attractive
Review on: Clinique - Impossibly Glossy
I have this in Camisole and Cream Soda.  In both cases, the color goes on prettier than it looks in the tube.  Camisole is a great nude peach-pink.  Cream Soda is a brown-pink.  Both are shimmery, and it looked like all the colors had shimmer in them.  These go on INCREDIBLY shiny.  Application is easy but I gave packaging a 4 because the slanted tip is kind of messy at the tip...it seems like some product slides down into the threads when you apply.  The texture is smooth and not too slippery.  These really don't have much staying power but they are so pretty that they're worth it.  I think Beach Bunny will be the next one I add to my collection.

EDIT:  These glosses separated after about 8 months.  I threw them out and won't buy more.

Pros: Shine, shimmer, excellent color
Cons: Would probably be better in a tube with wand applicator, separation occurred after 8 months
Review on: Clinique - Glosswear in Sugar Blue
I got this from a lovely swapper as an extra and initially, I really wondered why anyone would want a blue lipgloss. However this is great! It is pretty much clear, but it just adds a cool tone to other colors. It's great for toning down a pink lipstick just a teeny bit. It adds a sort of violet/silver shimmer. It's also great by itself! My lips are very pigmented and this makes them look a bit softer. So sexy!

Pros: Great texture, can work with any lipstick or alone!
Cons: a bit pricey
Review on: Clinique - Glosswear for Lips Intense Sparkle in Lunar Ice
In the tube, this lip gloss looks like a nude/peach color with lots of sparkle; however it goes on clear.  In some lights it makes my lips look very sparkly and glittery; in other lights my lips just look shiny with a touch of sparkle.  It also tends to be a little bit sticky, which doesn't bother me but may annoy others.  Not a bad product if you want a sparkly, clear lipgloss and don't mind paying $13.50!

(I wonder why we can't see the sparkle in the color swatch... it looks much different in real life!)
