I'm an eyeliner freak, I must confess. And I have and use them all: powder eyeshadows applied wet and dry, liquid liners, gel liners (BB and Smudgepots), pencils, and yes, cake liners too (this and Trish M.). Fortunately, I happen to have a skilled hand and a love of the many possibilities of transformation eyeliner provides. From a tiny, indiscernible line smudged into lashline to create a natural, no-makeup look to a dramatic 60's winged line,  eyeliner is an essential part of my makeup collection. I'm never without it.
Having said this, benefit babecake is the most versatile workhorse of an eyeliner I own. Oh how I wish there was an inexpensive drugstore alternative to this, but I just haven't found one. There are two beautiful, rich colors: a warm brown that can create a gentle daytime look (Audrey) and a black (Sophia), both clearly named for beauty icons whose famous eyes were always dramatically lined. Both colors are richly pigmented, and great on their own. I also like to mix the two to get a darker, blacker brown that is somewhere between the two. In this tiny mirrored compact is an arsenal for several eyeliner looks: the natural, non-distinct smudge, the dramatic winged cat eye line, or anything in between.  Long wearing, too. Once applied, these don't smear or budge on me. It is a bit expensive (US 28.00, I think), but if you have a budget that allows it and you're into eyeliner, this is a great makeup investment.

Pros: versatile, long wearing, beautiful colors, mirror in compact.
Cons: price, no brush in compact. (I'd love a tiny brush for the time crunch)

I love babecakes.... its the best eyeliner even for people who arentt so good with eyeliner... you  get to choose if you want it liquidy or thick... you have to add water or she laq since it is a solid to begin with. but then this way you can apply it .... the way it works the beest for you.

Cons: none

I love this thing- it really does give your eyes a lift...I use it in the inner corner of my eyes and then also under the brow bone. Benefit makes a similar product to this called high brow thats supposed to be good for giving you that "brow" lift....but I found I like this one much better. I didn't like the yellow-y undertone of high brow, and this super soft pink actually worked better as it has more of a subtle shimmer to it (drawing the eye upwards). The only bad thing about this product I believe is how small it is....its $18 and its "purse sized," as the package calls it....they could really give you more product for your $$

Pros: blends nicely, great hilighter
Cons: size, price

Awsome cake eyeliner. The compact is half dark brown and hafl black for day and evening wear. Its an awsome quality, its great if you put it on wet with Benefit's She-laq because its waterproof, but even if you dont it lasts a long time before smearing. Its a small compact but a little goes a long way. (brush NOT included)

babe cake

Pros: works great and you get two colors
Cons: um...none!!

What a great pencil.  Eyes looking a bit tired?  use a little eye bright under your eyes and poof, suddenly they're gone.  Use it all around your eye.  Use to line the inner rim of your eye.  Use it under your brow to give your eyes a lifted look.  Super great product!  Get one!!!  Or two...

Pros: great for tired eyes, dark circles or areas
Cons: can't think of any...

i have mixed feelings about this product. im not sure if i woiuld buy it again though (there has to be cheaper versions of it in the world). i like how it makes you look awake. i dont normally use it all that often, not to mention on a college student budget (who has an ok job), its not something i want to spend money on again (sorry $18 is a tad too much for me for a pencil).

Pros: works pretty well
Cons: dont use it enough, price

So much more than a pale pink pencil! If you use it correctly, it can really take away from tired eyes & dark circles!

I usually like to dab a little in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up.

If you're looking really tires, then you want do do the cat whiskers technique.

You draw 3 whisker lines on the outside corner of each eye. Then draw one line just under the outer browbone. One more line just outside your eye area, on the bottom. You'll feel a facial bone there.

Then, you want to blend all of the lines outwards. This will instantly brighten you up & take away from any dark circles & tired eyes.

Another staple in my makeup bag from Benefit.

This thick pencil is the perfect soft black shade.

The texture is also very nice & creamy; and applies well w/o any tugging.

Ok, as simple as this pencil might seem, I really like it!

The texture is nice & creamy. It goes on pretty smooth w/o tugging.

I use Mr. Frosty at least once a week as part of my "I'm in a hurry" routine.

I just draw a line under my brows with it, then blend into my eyeshadow of choice. It instantly looks like I went to the effort of choosing a highlighter shade.

Sometimes I'll dab a little on the inner corners of my eye as well.

a definite staple in my makeup bag.

I was rather dissapointed in Benefit's Mr Frosy white eyeliner. It is supposed toadd brightness to the eyes when used an an eyeliner. I found this product to be quite difficult to use because when it is applied it goes on thick and is not of a smooth texture which is very important for something that goes into the eyes. My eye's started to water and become irritated and itchy. I would definalty not buy or use this product again.
