mac liquid eyeliner is the best eyeliner i have EVER tried.. i have tried so many . . from drugstore brands to high end ones.. i recently tried using clinique liquid eye liner and dont like it as much .. mac eyeliner just glides all in one stroke i love it .
Pros:easy to apply Cons:some people may not like felt tip eyeliners
I'm glad I converted to Gel liner! The product itself is great, many other dupes available and I believe MAC is on the top of the list.
Not the darkest of black I've seen but it goes on easily.
Pros:Easy to apply, multi-purpose usage: an eyeshadow or eyeshadow base. Cons:The packaging it comes in, I think could easily dry out the gel - but it's easy to restore it. And price.
My HG liner, bar none. It takes some getting used to, but once you can make it work you won't go back to the other stuff again. Wax-based pencil eyeliners used to slide right off, and my eyelids would just eat up cake liner unless I shellacked the color to my face. Waterlining and tightlining? Forget it, until Fluidline came along and solved my eyeliner issues. I apply it with a 266 and it stays in place whether I use a precise line or a smudged one. And when I'm done wearing it, a gentle eye makeup remover takes it all away. I'm hooked on this stuff.
Pros:Pigmented colors, stays in place, great texture, a little bit goes a long way Cons:Takes some practice to get precision lines, a little pricey
-They've certainly got the name right on this one! Once it sets, it does not move! It only comes off with an oil based eye makeup remover. I've had problems removing these liners, otherwise the rating would be a 5. They're thicker than most other liquid liners which I have found helps with the application, other brands tend to be too runny. These are the only eye liners I have that will last all day, even the fluidlines can smear and fade a little. It does take a few goes to get used to the brush, it's not quite fine enough for the product.
-This is quite a stunning green! Quite unique in the MAC range. It's really bright in the tube but doesn't seem quite so metallic when it has dried on your lid.
-Fuchsia glitter suspended in a greyish liquid eyeliner.
-I found the liquid the glitter is suspended does not show up once applied. MAC's glitter eyeliners are a lot of fun to wear. They give a really nice sparkle to your eye looks and can be subtle or bold depending on how many layers of the glitter you apply. You actually get a pretty dense layer of glitter with one appliction which makes these MAC glitter liners some of the best on the market. They are limited edition so you do need to snap them up when they are out.
-Once these have dried, they're on for the day! They last brilliantly. You do need to be careful though if you touch your eyes a lot as you will dislodge some of the glitter flakes. I've also found that I need to scrape the glitter off at the end of the day as my makeup removers won't touch them.
This is a pencil liner and it has a really smooth and creamy texture to it. It has a bit of shimmer and it's a dark green metallic eyeliner. Lasts all day and is pretty pigmented. It needs to be sharpened a lot and is LE but those are the only bad things about it.
Ah, Fluidlines, amazing staying power and nice and silky to put on, i love them and i have blacktrack and dipdown. I love that they can be used as a base also shadow really sticks to it!
My only complaint is how fast they dry up, and i think its because the packaging isnt airtight, so i have to rebuy it too often.
Would def. repurchase!
Pros:stays on forever, looks awsome, easy to apply Cons:dries up too fast
This is honestly the best eye liner ever made! It gives a DARK BLACK look that WONT smudge, and lasts ALL DAY LONG. I can take a shower and come out with all my makeup gone, except my eyeliner PERFECTLY in place. I LOVE THIS EYE LINER and its worth every penny!
This liner has the most amazing staying power-nothing shifts it, and it is incredibly black. The ONLY downside (but the reason why i wouldn't repurchase it) is the application brush. It tends to get too much product on it and therefore causes big blobs on your eyelids (which as i've said do not come off without a lot of hard work) If the application brush was solid instead of like the brush used when applying nail polish, it would be the best black eyeliner out there
Pros:staying power
blackest of black Cons:the brush makes it v difficult to apply
MAC Liquidlast Liner provides great color and is incredibly long-lasting -- which can be both a good thing and a bad thing. From the moment you put it on, it adheres to the skin and trying to fix mistakes will only result in a big mess. On the other hand, it last through sweat, tears, rain, etc.
Review on: MAC - technakohl liner
the only thing i hate about this eyeliner is the amount you get along with the fact that you have no warning before running out completely. i don't remember how much i paid for these, but i was surprised that they ran out so soon.other than that, i love these for several reasons. they can be used on the waterline and are VERY gentle on the eyes, they're long wearing, they can render a well-defined or smudged line, they don't have to be sharpened, and finally, the color selection is beautiful. i have this in earthline, a beautiful subtly shimmering natural looking taupe; uniform, an almost black that is practically identical to the buried treasure powerpoint, and a light shimmery grey, (i don't remember the name of that one). like i said, these are not a great value, in my opinion. however, they're a rare find because they're sold as a waterline friendly liner and they're actually gentle and long lasting when used that way. for that reason, i'll buy again and again because these are great for quick, no-effort, low key, yet non-boring and striking eye look.
Pros:beautiful colors, long wearing, no sharpening, gentle on the eyes, can be used on the waterline. Cons:value. amount of product in pencil.
-The powerpoints are very soft, creamy eyeliners so do be careful as it can smear before it sets. They do set quite quickly and are very long lasting liners, long lasting to the point where it can be difficult to take this colour off at the end of the day. This shade works best with neutral, pink or purple looks. I use this mainly as a lower liner. This is due to its softness, I can't keep it sharp enough to apply the lin line I like as an upper liner.
-Does last all day when it's set but can smear before it dries.
-Dark plum shimmer, not really violet, gel liner in a clear glass jar.
-Absolutely gorgeous purple liner! As it's one of the shimmer liners, you do need to apply a couple of layers as they do tend to be a little more sheer than the mattes. This is still on of my favourite purple liners though! It works wonderfully with neutral, pink and purple eye shadows as this is itself not too red or blue toned. I use an ultra fine artists brush or MAC #266 brush to apply this, depending on whether or not I want a thick or thin line. You can also use this as an eye shadow base as it takes 30 seconds to a minute to dry. Apply with a synthetic eye shadow brush and blend quickly. Once it sets it doesn't budge until you take it off at the end of the day.
-Make sure to tighten the lid, as it will dry out otherwise.
-Actually, this is more of a sparkle than glitter. Certainly not as obviously glittery as other glitter liners I have. As a result, this can be difficult to use effectively. The sparkle is quite tame so it can be lost if you apply it on its own. I've found this has to be applied over black eye liner or its sparkle can be lost completely. This was released in 2004 so I think this is quite hard to get hold of now. It's pretty and makes for a subtle sparkle (when you can get it to work), but I don't think it's a "must have" product.
Liquidlast Liners are MAC's newest incarnation of eyeliner products to hit the market...They come in a wide array of colors; from bold and colorful to the more neutral/everyday wear colors. And...they last. And last. And last. Hence the name.
I personally love these....however, there are a couple drawbacks..I have no complaints over the packaging itself...The reason I took off a point for packaging (and, overall) is because of the applicator brush...Liquidlasts come in little vials with a brush built-in to the cap...While it's nice MAC included a brush in the product, it doesn't always give the greatest of ease while applying...The brush could be a little more 'stiff'. I frequently get the product in my eyelashes (NOT where I want it;)), and it can also 'skip' on the lid...I usually use another brush for the application (the MAC #209 or #211 works well with these)...I find it much easier, and I don't have to worry about cleaning up my lashes (or splotches on my lid) after use.
That aside, these are wonderful little liners! Many gals complain that they cannot get these off at night, no matter how much they wash their face/eyes. There is a simple solution to this: Oil-based eye makeup remover. MAC makes an excellent product called Cleanse Off Oil...But, if you're in the market for something a little cheaper, just use what I use; Maybelline Expert Eyes oil-based MU remover (which goes for roughly $5.00 a bottle)...They both work wonderfully...Why pull and tug at your delicate eye area when all you need do is dab a cotton square with an oil-based product on your eye....It's that easy. The LLL (and all your other eye m.u.) will be off within seconds.
So, I could not in good conscience take a point off for this 'problem' (after all, they ARE marketed to be long lasting..so how can one complain if that is one of the reasons for purchasing this product)...because it is SO easy to fix. And, every gal should have an oil-based makeup remover in their kit, anyway.
Those small problems are not enough of a detractor to keep me away from buying (and wanting!) more of these. Those two 'problems' are easily fixed, and this stuff is great!!!
This is the perfect eyeliner to use on a hot, sweaty summer day; or a day at the beach/pool, etc. If you are spending a carefree day in the sun and surf, and don't want to get 'gourmet' with your makeup, all you need do is pick out a vibrant color (and there are many) of the Liquidlast, and paint your lid...And that's it...that's all you will need. Many times I just line my upper lid with this, and I get SO many compliments, and there's never been an easier m.u. routine. And it will last all day/night long!
I currently have the Liquidlasts in Greenplay, Blue Herizon (my favorite), Molten Sol (Limited Edition with the Moonbathe collection), and Visionaire (L.E. with the Barbie Loves MAC collection). I love them all, and use them on a regular basis. I am looking forward to getting more soon (I have my eyes set on Classic Cream and Coco Bar...a couple nice, neutral hues).
If there weren't a small prob. with the brush, I would have given these a "5" for Overall....I do love them. Don't let a few small things detract you from purchasing these...They really are the coolest thing in eyeliner!
Pros:Long lasting, GORGEOUS colors, Wide array of color choices, Very pretty on Cons:Brush is not 'stiff' enough for good lining..You will also need oil-based eye makeup remover to remove these...or you'll have them on for DAYS!
MAC fluidlines are great. They are budgeproof. Blacktrack is a nice dee[ black color without shimmer. I would definitely repurchase this product again.
