Review on: E.L.F. - Shielding Hydro-Tint SPF 15
Ugh...did this just say Hydro-Tint? Yes, but this is just ELF's form of foundation. There is a serious lack of shades, and undertones, and I am a prime believer that your skin tone should not be catagorized under "Tone 1, Tone 2, Tone 3, or Tone 4". I chose tone 3, and I was less than content with the outcome of this foundation. First off, this is nothing much than a tinted moisturizer, even if I did "layer" my foundation, there was absoulteuy no coverage at all,- and this formula was extremely greasy and smelled of oranges! This so called "Hydro-Tint" would be best for pre-teen girls with extremely dry skin and a dull complection. I will, and wont ever touch this stuff again! No greasy face for me!

Pros: Moisturizes your skin.
Cons: Makes your skin look very very very dangerously, and hideously greasy.
Review on: E.L.F. - Shielding Hydro-Tint SPF 15
I have this product in tone 2. I ordered it mostly out of curiosity-- I mean, what exactly is a "Shielding Hydro-Tinit" anyway? I've concluded that it's not a tinted moisturizer, and it's not a foundation. It's somewhere in between. Not quite thin enough or moisturizing for a TM and not enough coverage for a foundation. Really sheer, but sometimes that's what you want (I'm thinking for summer months) plus the SPF is nice.

They tell you to use a pearl-sized amount of this which proves to be about right. The tone 2 color for me worked just right. Blends easily into skin, evens out tone-- but if you want coverage, make sure you use a concealer in conjunction with this product-- because it won't take care of problem areas all on its own.

Situations where this might be a good item for you:
-summer
-travel (small size, not glass packaging)
-younger MU users learning about foundation (hard to screw this stuff up)
-when you're having an awesome skin day and need very little help
-if you want an SPF
-if you like trying new things-- especially things that only cost a buck!

Pros: color works for me, good for light coverage times, SPF
Cons: not lots of coverage
Review on: E.L.F. - Shielding Hydro-Tint SPF 15
I purchased this in Tone 2 and Tone 3 since I didn't know which one I'd use (I ended up using Tone 2).  I didn't notice any true coverage with this product, nor did I feel as though it did much to improve my look or enhance anything.  The foundation is really liquidy, which can end up being messy to apply.  The scent is nice (Sugar Orange), but it can be annoying since EVERYTHING smells this way by E.L.F.  This isn't something I plan on buying again, nor would I recommend it to someone used to pricier brands.  Might be a good product for a young girl starting out with makeup though.

Pros: SPF 15 and scent
Cons: Too liquidy, not enough color options

Everything in the E.L.F. line is $1.00.  Yep that's one dollah!  They claim their products are just as good as pricey ones, so I had to try them and see.

The Shielding Hydro-Tint is a sheer foundation, or tinted moisturizer I should say.  I tried Tone 2 but actually there's not much difference between it and Tone 1.  (I bought both).  This product went on way too sheer.  Nonexistant is a better word.  I didn't notice even the slightest enhancement of my skin.  And, it made my face feel incredibly greasy.  I wanted to run to the sink and scrub my face!  I wanted to like this, but it just wasn't any good.  I could *maybe* see a young teen using this, if they had dry skin and no imperfections to worry about.

Pros: Cheap
Cons: Too sheer, greasy, a waste of time.
