Skin Care Treatments (Serums, Etc.) Neutrogena

Review on: Neutrogena - On-The-Spot Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream
This stuff works amazingly well; whenever a blemish pops up, I simply apply a tiny bit of gel every few hours and the redness and size are reduces almost immediately. I've recommended this to many people and they've all had similar results.

Pros:
Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - HEALTHY SKIN ANTI-WRINKLE INTENSIVE
WOW!  I'm new to the whole skin-care thing; but at 40 I took a good look and decided it was time!  I have hated the creases in my forehead and between my eyebrows for years and thought the only solution would be Botox!  But I got up this morning after using Neutrogena's Anti-Wrinkle intensive Night cream and the serum (which is for day - or I guess anytime) for only 2 days, looked in the mirror and was blown away!  Those horrible lines between my eyebrows are noticeably more shallow - really, so much so that I just stared at myself for a minute!  This is after only 2 days!  I can't wait to see what happens after a month!!

Pros: It works! And compared to what some of these creams can cost I think it's dirt cheap!
Cons: None that I can think of
Review on: Neutrogena - On-The-Spot Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream
I purchased the On-The-Spot treatment after unexpected breakout. I don't know if the product did anything to treat me pimples. I followed the instructions carefully, cleasing my face and apply two to three times daily. After two weeks my pimples were still visible. After four I could see a reduction in redness, but the blemishes had not shrunk at all. Finally after nine weeks my acne  was gone, but after this elapse of time my skin would have healed without treatment.

Pros: My skin did not scar.
Cons: I was hoping to see reduction in pimple size and redness by three weeks.
Review on: Neutrogena - Visibly Firm Lift Serum
I bought this treatment mainly for it's lifting properties. As a 40+ woman, I have started to see a sagging jawline and that deep crease in between my eyebrows. I have tried many other serums with not much improvement but
I have to tell you that this is definetely a "WOW" product!
After only a few days, I noticed a firmer jawline and the deep wrinkle/crease in between my eyes were fading. After about a week, the crease is totally gone and my jawline has taken a nice firm shape...my bloated looking face is also firmed up too!!! I have noticed that my skin is sooo smooth as well.
I absolutely ADORE the way the product actually SINKS into my face, not leaving it greasy and shiny as with other serum treatments. This is even true if worn under makeup which is another plus!
I'd love to call the company and ask if they could make a gallon size jug to dip my whole body into!!!(it really works that well!) LOL!
On the down side it IS quite pricey but you only need a small amount (a little dab will do ya) so hopefully it will last for awhile.
Another down side is the product packaging. It's contained into a small opaque can with a pump dispenser, so you can't tell how much is left. With a pump dispenser, you can't get down to all of it or use the leftover drops without breaking the bottle which leaves the possiblility of waste. I would prefer a tube version which would leave me in more control of using the remnants of the product.
All in all I highly recommend this product!

Pros: Delivers what it promises! Spreads evenly with no residue or greasy feeling.
Cons: A bit pricey Pump dispenser leaving the possiblity of waste of product.
Review on: Neutrogena - Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment
I'm not sure how long ago I bought this, but I actually used up 3 bottles of it. I remember that Jennifer Love Hewit was the spokesperson at the time and still playing Sarah on Party of Five.

This stuff was basically moisturizer for the acne prone. I'd apply this after spot treating my blemishes to keep my skin soft.

I really like how clean the pump dispenser is. I'm not sure if they were trying to keep oxygen out of bottle, but it was definitely cleaner than the jars you have to stick your fingers in.

Review on: Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula
I'm addicted to the 2% SA Foaming Face Wash from Neutrogna so I tend to buy it in bulk when its available. The last time I purchased a wholesale set, it came with a bonus tube of this stuff.

This is much much easier on my skin than Persagel-10. It doesn't make my skin feel itchy or irritated. I also like to mix it with a little bit of the cleanser and massage it onto areas of my face that are troubled.

It does a great job if drying out problem areas without irritation.

Pros:
Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - Pore Refining-Cream SPF 15
This says it's a daily moisturizer, which I just thought was a pore treatment product.  Has SPF of 15.  Contains a retinol & alpha-hydroxy acid, I beleive this is why it's a bit much for my sensitive skin.  I did not notice any difference in my pores while using this product.  It did tingle at first when I used it, but this is supposedly normal at first.  It claims to visibly reduce appearance of pores and give an even looking skin and prevent future sun damage (the SPF).  Not impressed, it was a bit harsh for my skin (especially after starting a PX Retinoid, I had to stop using this....heck it didn't do much for me anyways).

Pros: retinol & alpha hydroxy acid and SPF 15
Cons: too harsh for sensitive skin (especially on a retinoid)
Review on: Neutrogena - Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cream
This didn't work at all as far as healing and preventing break outs. It actually seemed to make me break out and left a feeling of thick film on my face. I don't have wrinkles so I cannot judge whether or not it works for fine lines. May work for someone with the occasional small breakouts. I would not buy this again.

Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula
I've used this the way I'm suppose to in my skin regimen and ladies it works wonders! The only downfall I'm an african american girl and you have to rub this into your skin lightly until its gone and it takes a while so that it doesn't look white and peely! Other than that you moisture and it does wonders! Definitely a keeper!

Pros: It get's that nasty acne!
Cons: If you don't rub it in good it stays on top of your face and will posibly mess the process of putting on makeup on top!
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions Facial Peel
So far so good. Doesn't tingle as promised,  but maybe my skin has become immune to burning, as I have had many professional procedures done that truly make me peel. The smell is not so great, and the consistency is kind of smooth, with a touch of some abrasive solution. Leaves my skin smooth, but for a lot less, I can get that with my St. Ive's Apricot Scrub. Not a bad product so far, don't know whether I'd buy again or not.

Pros: Easy to use, resurfaces skin temporarily, leaves it pretty soft and smooth.
Cons: Doesn't seem to do anything special, not a miracle product.
Review on: Neutrogena - Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment
i didnt really like this. i used a bottle way back when in high school when i was still trying to find the right products for me. it didnt do much for me especially with the price and it smelled kinda funny as i remember.

Pros: soaks into skin quickly
Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions Facial Peel
I really like this product. I've been using it for a little over two weeks now, roughly about 3 applications, and a male friend of mine asked me what was different about me, then complimented me on my glowing skin. I was sans make-up at the time, so that felt really good. He even asked what I'm using, which was odd, because he is not your typical skin care product user. Really leaves your skin soft and smooth. Pores look smaller and gives skin a nice fresh glow. Don't really need to use much, so the price isn't really that high for the amount you get (1.7 oz - 50g). A little goes a very long way. Plus, since it's drugstore available, it's bound to go on sale quite a few times a year.

Pros: leaves skin smooth and soft, pores look smaller, skin looks fresh and glowing, affordable, easy to use
Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions
Ok, final conclusion for me. I do not like this product, It was to drying and I decided to throw the rest away.

Pros:
Cons: too drying
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions
Well I'm back on this. I've found I've had the best results. I'm going to change my pillowcases to white...because I have ruined my purple ones..:(
This really does help with acnegenic people...like me. When I get to dried out, I will only use everyother day...Ugh!!!  When will I have total clear skin again. I was zit free as a teenager, but as an adult it has been h e l l.

Pros: helps you get clear
Cons: pillowcases, and a bit drying
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions
UPDATE....Well some thing I've finally stuck with, thought I found my answer, but I didn't. I found this to be very drying, and up an down. The cleanser I liked. Then the benzoyl peroxide was too drying and messed my pillowcases, but I liked that I had clearer skin in the morning, but then I'd moisturize and then come home to crappy skin. So I  say... shit..  I'm going to try to go back to basics. I'm going to try to do like my husband....use what ever is in the shower. He hardly gets a zit...

Pros: clear skin in the morning
Cons: dry skin, messed up pillow cases, and oily skin from moisturizer
Review on: Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula
This product contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, a common acne medication.  I used to use 10% benzoyl peroxide solutions in high school but they always dried out my skin.  I decided to try this product, though, because the box claims that 2.5% is just as effective as 10% but is less likely to dry out your skin -- and I do believe they're right!  This is the best over-the-counter acne treatment I've tried so far, although it's still not quite as good as the prescription creams I used to use.  It hasn't dried my skin out at all, although I only use it on the areas that are most prone to blemishes or areas that currently have blemishes.

I have very oily skin which is prone to clogged pores (lots of small, red bumps) but not "true" acne, according to my dermatologist.  I've been using this product with Stridex Maximum Strength, a 2% salicyclic acid product (another common acne medication).  The Stridex alone didn't do much so I'm convinced this product is helping a lot.

A word of warning: benzoyl peroxide products can bleach clothes and hair, so I only use this at night and use white pillowcases, and so far I've had no problems.  (My brother has a few discolored t-shirts from using benzoyl peroxide on his back though!)

On-the-Spot Acne Treatment

Pros: Treats acne without drying out your skin
Cons: Can bleach clothes and hair
Review on: Neutrogena - Advanced Solutions
Well I've tried everything under the sun and I think that this product is really good. The cleanser is good, and I like the fact that you only have to put the treatment on at night. I really like that the moisturizer is for the daytime too. There is no guess work!!  My skin has been getting better each day.
Give it a try.

Pros: No guess work!!
Cons: The night treatment is drying and messed up my pillowcase. Benzoyl Peroxide. :(
Review on: Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula
I have had acne prone skin since I was a pre-teen. I have been struggling to keep my skin clear for over 11 years. This product is a staple for me. It contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, an antibacterial agent designed to fight the bacteria that contribute to acne. As far as I know, this is the only product readily available at stores that contains only 2.5% (though there is one you can order online from acne.org)...others contain 10%. One might think that 10% would be better, stronger, and kill more bacteria. But benzoyl peroxide can also drastically dry out your skin, which can just make acne-prone skin worse. The 2.5% does the job just as well as the 10%. If you have acne prone skin, this product is a MUST. This particular formula is white and "vanishes" into the skin. There is also a tinted version which very pale people like myself should DEFINITELY stay away from. This product will also bleach fabrics so avoid getting it on clothing, towels, washcloths, etc.

Pros: fights bacteria that contribute to acne
Cons: can dry out skin, will bleach fabrics
Review on: Neutrogena - Visibly Firm Lift Serum
This product is really nice. It left my skin very nice and smooth and totally matte. The only drawback for me was that it was too much for my sensitive skin. I tried a sample of it so luckily I didn't buy the product. I would recommend this product though for anybody who doesn't have a sensitive skin.

Cons:
Review on: Neutrogena - Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cream
This product gets an average rating. That is how it performs not great, not useless, just average. It has Retinol for fine lines and wrinkles, Salicylic Acid for blemishes. I don't notice a big difference is fine lines, but then again I really don't have any lines yet. (yet) Only a tiny bit around the eye area and you can't use this there. So I won't say it doesn't work for that because I don't use it for that. As far as an acne treatment it seems to do a pretty good job. I don't break out a real lot so I am not sure how it would work for someone with a moderate to heavy amount of acne. My skin feels fine when using it, not dry. I like that so that is why I will buy it again. No wow factor just average.
