This product is finally supposed to replace my HG of a few years ago, Almay Amazing Lasting. It came out in December and I've been using it for a few months now. I'd say it is on the level of amazing lasting. It doesn't smudge or fade, it does give the 16 hours it says. I can't say it doesn't budge at all under water, but it stays pretty fresh. Great coverage just like Amazing Lasting and it has a pump dispenser. My new HG.
Pros:Stays on for 16 hours, full coverage, pump dispenser. Cons:
Overall this is a very good gloss. All the shades a sheer shades that look ok alone or over lipstick. I have the clear shimmer shade and it has a tad green and pink sparkles inside, which gives a very pretty look, I put it over some hot pink lipstick and it was so cute. I also like the little brush applicatir, it's not a sponge tip.
Pros:moisturizing, sparkely, smells ok, comes with a good applicator Cons:
This liner beats out Almay's i-color liner for use in the inner rim. It claims that is last up to 16 hours and I honestly believe that, I only used one touch up the entire day. This eyeliner has major staying power, but unfortunately it tugs my eye skin quite a bit. I decided to keep it in my purse as my touch up pencil instead.
Pros:Very long lasting, inner rims and outside Cons:tugs quite a bit.
Review on: Almay - kinetin skin smoothing concealer
My favorite drugstore concealer so far. It lasts a pretty long time. I'd say only one touch up is needed all day. It is very blendable, doesn't break me out, and easy on sensitive skin types.
Pros:safe for sensitive skin, blendable, long lasting Cons:
Nice color, but it just doesn't stay on. I liked the idea of customized colors to bring out your eyecolor, and the "raisin quartz" really does bring out my green eyes. Problem is...it only lasts for about two hours, tops! After that, there's nothing where you originally put the eyeliner, just a little bit smudged all over your lid. So it looks like you're wearing really bad eyeshadow. And on the lower lid it's even worse...it looks like I have purple bags under my eyes!
After I run out, I'll probably try the same color in a decent brand!
Pros:Pretty colors and "bring out the green" really does bring out the green :) Cons:Slides all over the place, especially if it's on lower lid.
A truly amazing eyeliner, probably the best eyeliners I've ever used on my inner rims. I used the black shade and it goes on very black. It does not run and only needs to be touched up about twice a day if you wear it on your inside rim. it doesn't collect in the inner corner. About 30 minutes after you apply it you will see a little bit of black in your corner if you use a lot, but that about it.
Pros:long lasting in the inner corner, very black Cons:none
These come in a pack of 30 which i got from the dollar tree for a dollar. They work GREAT. They are big enough to remove all of the make-up from my face (eyes, forehead, cheeks, etc.) Doesn't irritate my skin, or feel "icky" at all!
This macara is kind of strange, but can give you superlush and long lashes. It's strange because it is extremely dense and thick. This formulation only allows you to put on one or two coat. What happens if you put more, your lashes end up looking flakey and clumpy. Two coats makes them long and thick, but not anything special.
Now, if you're like me a need sky high and thick lashes, you can a few drops of water in the tube, to make the formula smoother. After I did this my lashes were megalong, thick, and curly.
It's a weird product, but If you don't mind putting the water in the tube to get long lashes, this gets five stars, cause your lashes really stand out. If you don't feel like going through that go for another product because I've noticed other macaras look better with one or two coats.
Pros:long, thick, plush lashes (with water in tube)
Cons:formula is too thick for layering
Not the best, but it does it's job. It's good on a budget, and I will use if I run out of my others. Not much of a description I can give...it's just like other liquids, just cheaper!
Review on: Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup
Couldn't find a good color match for my PPP skin, and seemed a bit too oily and greasy (weird, I know) for my liking. SA can be drying for your skin, even though it helps blemishes...just wasn't the right foundation for me.
Review on: Almay - Intense i-color eyeliner in Purple Amethyst
It's a bit expensive for drugstore, and I have used others that are just as good, but cheaper. I love the color! It is an amazing purple, and not overpowering at all. It brings out my hazel eyes very nicely, and will be buying again when I run out.
Review on: Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup
Since Almay discontinued my favorite foundation, Amazing Lasting, I switched to this. I have extremely oily skin and acne and this covers pretty good. I have to put a couple layers on and touch up in some places. But after it's on it stays on pretty good. It also helps to control the oil a bit. I still get oily but not as bad as with with some other foundations. I haven't ever noticed it clearing up my skin. I use Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil as a finishing powder on top and the two work well together.
Pros:Controls oil, not too expensive, good colors Cons:At times it can look not so natural.
This is what almay's website suggest for people that used amazing lasting, which was my hg foundation. It's pretty close to it. It leaves skin smooth and moisturized, has med-full coverage, and is great for sensitive skin. I have also noticed that my skin has gotten slightly smoother. It's thick, but it can be easily blended.
Pros:smooth skin, good coverage, long lasting Cons:a little thick
well i got this at a reduced price of 3.62 from 7.29, i guess it's being discontinued, which stinks b/c i actually like it. it' a good foundation if you're looking for something not heavy and natural feel and look. i got it in neutral which matches my face perfect since i don't have a tan. it has spf 15 in it which i like and it doesn't make me look old like how some foundations do when i smile. this one is for line smoothing, and it does work. i like it.
Pros:spf 15, doesn't settle into lines, a nice natural and light feel, nice hydration. Cons:not good if you're wanting a heavy coverage, can be a little too oily like around my nose area.
ok, so i've only used this once. i got it b/c the almay bright eyes was discontinued and this is what they suggested. well it doesn't make my eyes as wide opened as the bright eyes one, but did some. it does lengthen some, doesn't really thicken, slightly clumpy, but not too bad. i just used my brow comb and the couple of small clumps that were there came out. over all, not a bad mascara. it's good for a natural look, if you add more then it gives a little more dramatic look, nothing to extreme. but if you add too much more (like i tried), then i don't think it looks as good.
Pros:lengthens some, opens the eye up a little, good for a natural look. Cons:can clump a little and don't use too much or it won't look right.
well since it's been so long since i've seen this mascara, i don't remember how much it cost. But i loved it, it just made my eyes pop out. they looked wider opened and lengthened my lashes. didn't make my lashes look thicker, but def. wider opened which i loved.
Pros:made eyes look wider opened, lengthened lashes. Cons:doesn't give fullnes to lashes.
