This is the best scrub I have used for the price in a long time. I have bought it several times. It's a sugar scrub, so no salt to burn in cuts or anything like that. I use it for my back alot, it feels soooo good like a million little fingers scrubbing my back for me, and the product smells wonderful too. It's pretty abrasive, it's ment for a body scrub I think, and it does a good job at making skin soft without being oily.
Pros:makes skin soft, great price, smells good, not oily, good scrubbing power Cons:bottle gets alittle messy around cap, can't find product anymore :(
because i'm such a product junkie, i had to try another scrub even though i loved st ives's. i've heard good things about this, so i decided this would be my next one. i find it to be way too gentle to exfoliate. it left my skin feeling soft, but i was looking for a more abrasive scrub because after all, that's what a scrub's supposed to be to scrub away the yucky, dead skin cells. i won't be repurchasing.
This is honestly the WORST scrub I have ever used in my life. I bought it for the scent initially, which I'll admit, is lovely. However when I put this stuff on my face it was unnaturally goopy, thick and sticky and almost impossible to spread. I tried anyways. When I attempted to wash it off I found out that it would not come off! I had to scrub my face raw to get it off and even then it was difficult. I convereted it to a body scrub which let me use it up, but honestly, this stuff was just more like thick goop and a few scrubbers few and far between. Don't waste your money.
I don't know if this is really intended for the face, but I always used it on my body and it is truly one of the best scrubs ever. The fresh apple scent is amazing and this stuff softened my skin like nobody's business. I don't think it really heats up, its just the heat of the friction of using it on dry skin like you are supposed to. I don't like the packaging, makes it hard to get the scrub out but I'll deal.
