This is the best store bought microdermabrasion product you can buy IMO. The scrubbing granules are really fine and therefore more effective than the bigger, soft ones you usually find in drugstore facial scrubs.
You can scrub gently if you have sensitive skin, or scrub harder (like I do) if your skin can tolerate it.
After prolonged this can refine your skintone and help with hyperpigmentation. IMO that´s not gonna happen with a very gentle application though.
At $20, and quite a bit of internet hype about this product, I expected it to do more miracles than it did. I do like the scent, and my skin felt temporarily softer and smoother after using this product. It is a much gentler exfoliator than what I am used to using (pernox facial scrub). I have oily and sometimes acne prone skin, I think this may be a better choice for people with drier skin. I do think it's a bit pricey. However, since it is only to be used 1-3x per week, it should last me for quite some time and I plan to continue to use it. I think it will be ideal to use on my neck. I put that I won't buy it again because I think one jar will last a very long time, and for my particular skin type I need a more aggressive exfoliator.
Pros:lightly scented, left skin smooth and soft Cons:too gentle of an exfoliant for my skin, pricey, also a limited edition item (if you loved it, stock up!)
I recently purchased MAC's Fix + spray, and after using it for a couple of days, really like it. I use it to set my makeup, but it can be used in many ways. Even though I have only used it for the past couple of days, I have noticed a difference in that my makeup lasts longer.
MAC describes Fix + as "An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi." You can use it to refresh your skin, either before your makeup, after makeup application to set it, or even after a sunburn. Fix + also works as a mixing medium for applying pigments and eyeshadows (especially when using eyeshadows as a liner) and to apply MSFs (tried this today using my 187 and my MSF looked even better!).
Fix + comes in 3.4 oz. bottle- clear with black top for $15, but you can find Fix+ at Cosmetic Company Outlet stores in the old white packaging for $12.
Minerally charged and great for skin that is stressed...this water based blend of vitamin and minerals is something the skin drinks in.
Contains, green tea, chamomile and cucumber which calms reddened skin. I personally use it to set makeup. It can be combined with MAC irridescent powders to make a shimmery spray which delights the skin...
Great for those who need a mositurizing pick me up during the day!!
Pros:Excellent for setting makeup or just for soohing skin. Cons:
First off, these wipes acts the same as any other makeup remover wipes. It's still a bit difficult to remove mascara with them and all your makeup is not completely off - that's why toners where invented!
But, the difference between these wipes and other brands (over even baby wipes) is the soft feeling it gives you afterwards. I'm addicted to it. It leaves you with this soft, silky, smooth feeling - never dry!
Pros:Gets the general makeup off and leaves a great feeling behind. No drying effect. Cons:Doesn't remove all makeup (but that goes for every makeup wipe removers) and it is a bit pricey ($15-20 is more reasonable for bulks).
I recieved a generous sample of this cream after hearing soo many great reviews of this stuff. I used it once, and by the end of the day, I had a breakout all over my face. I wasn't wearing makeup that day, just the strobe cream. I also am not prone to break outs, as I rarely get them, but this made me break out horribly.
The break out wouldn't have been so bad, if the cream had made a difference in my skin, but there was no difference in my skin.
Pros:None Cons:Made me breakout, no difference on my skin.
I have super oily skin. I mean its so oily that I touch up my make up at least every hour 1/2. So i tried this lotion to see if it works. I love this product! I have never tried anything like it! Its a moisturizer that is very lighweight almost liquidy consistance, you alont need a small amount. Once you let it sry on your skin, its set it to a soft matte finish thta does NOT feel powdery. I have been using this for a few months now and I wont ever stop. I still have to touch up my makeup but now only once every 8 hours or so. You must try this! Oh and i must mention that i used MAC foundations in the past which made my skin break out. This product has not made my skin break out going on 2 months. I will update if anything changes
Pros:controlls oil, not as many makeup touch ups needed, only need a small amount per application Cons:doesnt controll oil all day but 7-8 hours is great enough for me! pricy
I got this in a try on pac and like it alot. It a little heavier than my typical moisturizers, but I need that when its cold and blustery or if I'll be in an airplane.
This stuff sinks into my skin leacing it soft and supple. It moisturizes well without breaking me out
I will continue to buy this in the try on pac because I love the demi wipes. Plus they are ver convenient and great to travel with.
Overall, this is a solid buy. I am hard core addicted to the Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils, but I saw that at a CCO and decided to give it a shot and see how if compares. In any case, it sold for 30-40% off of retail pricing, so I knew it wouldn't be a big loss if I didn't like it.
It works just like Shu's originial formula, but doesn't have the same scent. I like that MAC's formula doesn't have mineral oil in it, but I still need the different formulas that Shu offers, plus I prefer the scent.
A big negative about this is the bottle. While I love how hygenic the pump bottle is, the darn this leaks and leaks and leaks under the pump. It just pools out a little every time I depress the pump.
I would definitely like this more if it was less messy.
I actually have a couple of differnt sets, but these are soooo great. They're especially perfect for travel. You just pop in a few cotton balls and you're ready to go.
I wasn't really interested in Moisture Fix when I first bought this, but now its a must have on airplanes. It does a great job of reviving my skin. Especially when paired with the Fix+ spray.
The other 2 products are already staples of mine, so I knew this would be a solid buy even if I wasn't hugely fond of the moisture fix.

I adore this stuff. It does a great job of refining my skin tone without irritating my skin. I like to compare it to microdermabrasion, but better. The usual microderm kits irritate my skin and trigger a crop of cystic acnes that takes weeks to recover from. This does not add any extra chemicals. It simply buffs and polished skin.
The base formula in this can feel a little greasy. I think it acts a buffer to the skin. My only recomendation is to massage, not scrub, your skin with this. The particles are very fine, so you won't realize that you're over-doing it until its too late.

I had a delux sample of this, but wasn't overly impressed. I carried it around in my gym bag and would use it to wash my face after ballet, but I think it was largely based on how small and convenient the bottle was, more than the greatness of the product.
I don't wear make-up to my dance classes, so I never found out how this removes different types of cosmetics. It did do a great job of cleansing my skin of sweat and oils.
I just didn't find this product special enough to repurchase once it ran out. I'm pretty sure I just threw another Sample/GWP sized cleanser in my gym bag and went about my merry way.
Pros:Removed sweat and oil from skin without over drying Cons:Wasn't anything uniquely special
I have a sample of Mac's Green Gel Cleanser. I have to say it is quite gentle, yet thorough with it's cleansing abilities. Removes makeup and helps remove excess oil, skin feels clean and fresh. Does not feel harsh, nor did my skin feel tight and not over drying. Did not irritate my skin, not clog my pores or cause a break out.
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.
Pros:light, gentle yet effecting in removing makeup and excess oil Cons:
This I received Macs Oil Control Lotion, as a sample from a Mac SA. I tried this a few times at home. To my liking, it was a nice light weight moisturizer. It absorbs quickly and helped to control my oil. It was no magical potion to help keep the oil at bay for my hyper oily skin, yet was a nice gentle moisturizer. Did not irritate my skin, not clog my pores or cause a break out.
I would say this works better than my Prescriptives Oil Absorbing Moisturizer, but equal to my Aloette Nutri-Moisture Lotion.
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.
There are so many great things about this product that I don't know where to begin.
To start with, these are my HG face wipes. The cloth is soft and the formula is moisturizing, so this does not sting, chafe, dry out, or irritate my skin.
The packaging is perfect. I've never had these leak in my purse or dry out. Its sturdy and can take a beating for what is basically a plastic bag with a dispenser at the top.
This product comes in two sizes. I keep the bulk ones at home. (One in the fridge to make them super refreshing, one in the bathroom for taking off make-up, cleaning up mistakes, and wipeing off brush in between colors, and one in my nightstand to remove make-up when I'm too tired or tipsy to go wash my face.)
Me: NC43, GGG, Green Eyes, Jet Black Straight Hair, Combination/Sensitive Skin
I have repurchased this many times as this is my HG eye make-up remover. I love how clean this formula feels. I've been used to the greasier dual phase formulas, so this product was a relief.
I do use this in conjuction with Shu Uemura Cleansing oil, but the combination rids my skin of the day's grime and old make-up, no matter how much silcone was in the formula.
Overally, this is just a great eye make-up remover. I use it with MAC wipes when I'm too tired or tipsy to fully wash off my make-up before bed.

after the many raves on the forum, i had to have it. i'm so glad i bought it because it really lives up to its hype.
i use this lightly after i moisturize with a regular face moisturizer. since i don't wanna look to oily or overly dewy, i spray it once making sure i get my whole face. i let it sink in for about 2 minutes and then i apply my foundation.
i use mac's #187 brush to apply my foundation, so what i do is get my foundation on the brush, spray fix+ once or twice, and apply it. it makes the foundation go on smoothly and evenly.
another great use is with your msfs (mineralize skinfinishes). it makes the color more vivid and gives a great sheen.
since the weather's getting warmer, i feel pretty nasty applying my powder on, so instead, once i do my foundation and concealer, i spray one more time and it really sets the makeup. not as well as powder, but it's not bad at all!
i also love this because if my makeup's on for a few hours and i need to freshen it, i just spritz this on and it's like i just applied it.
i gave the packaging a 4 because it's white and gets dirty really fast (think nars packaging), but it wouldn't stop me from buying it again!
Pros:sets makeup, gives dewy finish, foundation goes on nicer, refreshes makeup Cons:price, packaging
As much as I like this product, I probably won't buy it again. The MAC website describes this product as a "A mega-effective remover that lifts off makeup without smudges or
tears. Pro Eye Makeup Remover is a clear, lightweight liquid that
gently and effectively removes all eye makeup, including waterproof and
transfer-resistant products. It effortlessly removes Paints, Eye
Shadows, Mascara and Liquid Liner. It contains Cucumber Extract to
soothe and hydrate the skin and it's perfectly safe for contact lens
wearers. No rinsing is required and makeup can be immediately
reapplied. Perfect for when you're in a rush."
I found it to be a bit irritating at times and I really had to tug my eye when I had on fluidlines or other long lasting eye products. It left my eye lids a bit too dry at times and also for the price, its just not a good option for me.
P.S. I did find my HG eye make up remover - check out my other reviews to find out which one.
I ♥ these wipes. They remove all of my make up, including my mascara, and leave my face feeling so clean. They have a clean scent to them and they are so easy to use. I keep them by me bed and use them during those days when I have had too many cocktails or I am just too dang tired to get up and wash off my make up. They are gentle enough for my dry skin.
